The whimsical wire sculptures that I design and create are all one of a kind ,wall mounted pieces. The work begins with copper coated steel wire that I bend by hand to a desired shape . The next step is to braze (a welding technique ) where necessary to insure that the piece holds it"s form . Once the wire work is done accents are added....for example a skirt fringe or a tie. These additions are executed using tin . After the piece is completed it is sanded ,cleaned and then painted.

As a musician myself with many friends involved in the profession, I love to capture the movement in the art of performing. When I think about designing a piece ,motion is always a major consideration. If it's not someone playing sax it could be the flow of Tango or the striking of a baseball. I've done commission pieces in all of these disciplines ......music, dance ,sport as well as yoga and other interesting topics. Currently many of my newer works are more experimental / abstract ,a direction that I find quite satisfying.
